The Eternal Library Series
The Eternal Library Series is an adult fantasy quintet following an intergenerational found family of magic bookbinders, writers, artists, and librarians. It takes place in a secondary fantasy world curiously similar to our own, where modern technology like cell phones and computers coexist with witchcraft-style magic and polytheism that’s been amped up a couple notches. All four books are set in the country of Caspora, something akin to a queer, democratic socialist utopia in a Pacific Northwest climate. The overall tone is cozy, even when the characters are facing the deep, dark traumas of their pasts; readers say that even these elements are presented with a ray of hope and a warm hug—but be sure to read the content warnings just in case.
The Eternal Library series focuses on the magic and spirituality of the arts, the power of storytelling, and ways that people come together to form new families when theirs are harmful or far away. All of the characters are queer, many are aro- and/or ace-spectrum, and many are neurodivergent, written from the author’s personal experience with those identities.
The Thread That Binds (Book 1) won a 2023 Indie Ink Award for “Best Mentor Character” and was a finalist in the “Trans/Nonbinary Representation” category!
The Tale That Twines (Book 2) was a finalist in the “Neurodivergent Representation by a Neurodivergent Author” category!
